8 YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE AND CONTINUOUS EFFORT

“An anniversary is a time to celebrate the joys of today, the memories of yesterday and the hopes of tomorrow.”

First Consolidated Cooperative Along Tañon Seaboards (FCCT) Daanbantayan Service Center celebrated its 8th Anniversary on May 28, 2019.

It was a blissful day in Daanbantayan, Cebu as FCCT Daanbantayan Service Center celebrated its 8th anniversary of service and sweat for the people in Daanbantayan who believed that FCCT is more than able to help them in times of need and difficulty. The event carries the theme: “FCCTian Leadership is an art and science of blending the application of Perseverance, Honesty, Innovativeness and Productivity in good mix with extra natural essentials.”

The members of the cooperative convened right in front of the service center office, given the shade by three huge tents from the scourging heat of the sun in the early afternoon of May 28, 2019. The celebration was attended and participated by not less than fifty members. It started at about 2 PM when the guests and speakers have already arrived and the members have already settled in their seats.

FCCT heads and a public servant graced the said event to give their inspirational messages and share some important information that the members need and would want to hear. The guests are as follows:

  1. BERNARDO R. DESABELLE, FCCT Consultant
  2. LEONARDO S. SABROSO, FCCT Chief Executive Officer
  3. ROMY T. YUSORES, FCCT Human Capital Officer
  4. ARLENE N. CADANO, FCCT Tuburan Service Center Head
  5. JUPITER “JUPJUP” ROSELL, Municipal Councilor, Municipality of Daanbantayan

Before each of the invited guests shares important information and inspirational messages, together with the members, they were welcomed and acknowledged by the Service Center Head himself, Mr. Richard A. Allego.

Mr. Yusores talked about the Importance of Cooperative and told the members that in order for a group, especially a cooperative, to grow and blossom, they need to help one another and help the cooperative. “Ang usa ka kapunongan mulambo pinaagi sa pagtinabangay,” Mr. Yusores said during his speech.

The FCCT Consultant himself, Mr. Bernardo R. Desabelle, thanked the members for choosing and still staying with FCCT despite the fact that there are many businesses and cooperatives just around the corner. Mr. Sabroso read the Financial Statement of the cooperative and informed the members how much is the total asset the cooperative is having now.  Hon. Jupiter “Jupjup” Rosell, one of the newly elected Municipal Councilors in the Municipality of Daanbantayan, also gave his inspirational message to all the members who attended the celebration. “Ampingi ang pagsalig nga gihatag sa FCCT diha kaninyo,” said Hon. Rosell in his speech in the event. Truly, to trust is never easy. Mrs. Cadano also encouraged the members on how to help in the growth and development of FCCT Daanbantayan.

The growth of FCCT Daanbantayan has manifested through years of service. Though sluggish, the efforts of the Service Center Head and his staff are undeniably dynamic. It would really need the help of the members, as they are also considered co-owners of the cooperative. As Arthur Potts Dawson puts it, “We are stronger as a group than an individual.”
