TRANSITION: From one CEO to another

According to Seneca and as written in one song, “Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end.” Just recently, the First Consolidated Cooperative Along Tañon Seaboards (FCCT) celebrated the new chapter’s beginning of another Chief Executive Officer by the name of Mr. Magdaleno T. Bargamento.

Everyone was excited and thrilled to know who will be the successor of the outgoing Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Leonardo S. Sabroso. The Board of Directors and the management itself looked for deserving candidates who will next have the grip at authority and leadership. There were three applications received by the management and were also sent to the board for scrutiny and examination. In August’s regular meeting, the Board of Directors unanimously expressed their uncontested support and favour to Mr. Magdaleno T. Bargamento.

Mr. Bargamento, a native of Barili in Northern Cebu, was the Vice Chairman of the Board. He has slid down from office as soon as he was appointed to his new position. His appointment brought happiness and delight to everyone who believed in his capability and ability of becoming a good leader.

On the 1st of September 2020 at the FCCT Building Head Office, Mr. Bargamento took his oath of office and his roles and responsibilities were presented to him. The ceremony was attended by the service center heads from Cebu area. Service center heads from the Negros branches were present virtually. The members of the Board of Directors were also present, together with one of the members of the Audit Committee. Landbank of the Philippines Account Officer, Mr. Victor G. Villaganas, graced the event, as LBC is one of the partners of FCCT.

This transition of leadership is, undeniably, a highlight of the organization this year amidst the pandemic. The event also marks an end of Mr. Sabroso’s journey as a leader and father to everyone in the organization. His legacy will never be forgotten for he has helped everyone grow mentally and emotionally.
